An Australian bus operator has stunned his employees by handing out Aus$15 million (US$15.9 million) in thank you bonuses, with workers saying Wednesday they were overwhelmed by his generosity.
Ken Grenda, 79, sold his family-run company after 66 years and decided to put a chunk of the profits into the pockets of his employees for their hard work and loyalty.
Many of his 1,800 workers thought their banks had made an error when they discovered thousands of dollars in their accounts, the Herald Sun reported.
*To the employees, how do you feel so far? Must be very overwhelming!

Ken Grenda is a very generous, and very unique man doing that for his employees. If there more people thought like him, the world would be a better place. His tips?
Treat everyone as an equal,
Trust in people until they give you a reason not to,
Treat staff like they are members of the family,
Be honest and ethical in your dealings.
What a great philosophy to live by!
Great philosophy indeed Barb. Such a wonderful person. I can just imagine the employees’ reaction when they checked their bank account. Definitely they are not just overwhelmed by the money they received but by the generosity Ken Grenda extended to them.
I agree with you, if every person in the world has the philosophy like his, it is indeed a better place.
I salute him to the nth power… May he be blessed even more…
Thanks for dropping by, always a pleasure to have you here
